About the Brand

Coco Chanel founded her namesake brand in 1910 when she opened a hat shop called “Chanel Modes”. Coco expanded her high-fashion product offerings and added sportswear, jewelry, handbags, tweed suits, and her first Haute Couture house. In 1982, Karl Lagerfeld was brought in as Creative Director to revive the brand.
